內容摘要：

Global production of energy to satisfy the combination of population growth and economic development places strict limits on how that primary energy is generated based on climate feedbacks that set the time scale for irreversible changes in the climate structure. The physical sciences hold the key to establishing a pathway forward. That pathway can only be quantitatively defined using technology developments in spectroscopy, lasers, electronics, robotics and strong scientific collaboration between China and the United States.

主講人簡介😊：

James Anderson（詹姆斯•安德森）教授於1944年生於美國華盛頓州，1966年獲華盛頓大學物理學學士學位，1970年獲科羅拉多大學物理與天文地球物理學博士學位👏🏼。他首先在密執根大學任教，1978年開始任教於哈佛大學Robert P. Burden大氣化學講座教授，1982年被授予Philip S. Weld大氣化學講座教授，1998-2001年擔任化學與生物化學系主任。

Anderson教授於1992年當選美國科學院院士，分別於1998和1985當選美國哲學院院士和美國藝術與科學院院士，1989年當選美國地球物理學會會士🖕🏿，先後榮獲美國科學促進會Arthur L. Day獎並兼任講席教授🤾🏿‍♂️🙄， E.O. Lawrence環境科學與技術獎，美國化學學會Gustavus John Esselen化學公益獎，華盛頓大學藝術與科學傑出校友成就獎等。Anderson教授所獲其它榮譽包括： 2005年度聯合國維也納大會臭氧層保護貢獻獎🧚🏿❎，聯合國地球日國際大獎，哈佛大學為其教員頒發的Ledlie最有價值科學貢獻獎，以及美國化學學會頒發的國家環境科學與技術進步獎。
